Gondwana, the Mediterranean Plant Festival

To celebrate the arrival of autumn, the Domaine du Rayol has been organising for the past two decades : Gondwana, the Mediterranean Plant Festival.

An unmissable plant festival

Over the years, this event has become an unmissable event for all garden lovers, both for the quality of the nursery growers and exhibitors present and for the cultural and festive programming renewed each year.

The heart of the event is of course the sale of plants. Nursery collectors will offer their most beautiful specimens: Mediterranean shrubs and perennials, cacti and succulents, aromatic plants, tropical plants, palm trees, acacias, etc.

Local artisans and producers will also be welcome to present their creations and products in accordance with the ethics defended by Domaine du Rayol.

A new theme each year

Every year, a new theme is on the spotlight.

For example, for its 20th edition, Gondwana is honoring the planetary gardeners, echoing the concept of “Planetary Garden” created by the landscaper Gilles Clément, designer of the Jardin des Méditerranées: the planet seen as a garden, an enclosed space with limited resources, which Man, as a good gardener, must take care of.

Around the theme “Planetary gardeners”, conferences will be scheduled, a round table with Gilles Clément, and talks which will punctuate the weekend.

The flagship activities of the Domaine du Rayol will also be added to the program: guided tours of the garden, thematic exhibition, creative workshops and activities for young and old, meetings and signings at the Librairie des Jardiniers, on-site catering at the Café des Jardiniers, etc.
